Neurorehabilitation Program
The Neurorehabilitation Program at our center provides services to individuals with acquired brain injuries, neuropsychiatric disorders and other neurological/behavioral disorders.
Upon admission to the program, an interdisciplinary team carefully creates an individualized care plan for each patient. Input is gathered from patients and their families as goals are created and focus is geared on the patient returning to the highest level of functioning upon discharge.
Our program also includes:
- development of skills for community re-entry
- vocational and pre-vocational opportunities
- athletic events such as swimming
Within each patient’s care plan, objectives will be developed to accommodate his or her individual strengths and challenges. These address the status of communication, physical, medical, behavioral, social and other skills. Priority is given to the skills needed in the projected discharge setting and positive reinforcement is used as patients accomplish their goals.
